Activities

The Platform maintains a diverse set of activities to further its mandate to act as a ‘knowledge hub’ for better peacebuilding. These activities include lunch-time seminars, practice briefs, consultations, informal meetings, retreats, public conferences, and workshops. Activities are informed by – but not limited to – the five focus themes of the Platform’s 2012-2014 Programme.

The Platform works towards logically connected events and places events within an integrated strategy of knowledge management. This strategy ranges from the identification of appropriate speakers, target audiences, and rapporteurs to event logistics and outcome documents. Most of the Platform’s events are accompanied by a publication of the Platform’s Brief or Paper Series.

The Platform remains alert to service short-notice requests for events or informal exchanges on critical peacebuilding issues as they emerge. For partners wishing to contract the Platform, information for service packages for different types of events is available on request.
