Human Rights Information and Documentation Systems, International (HURIDOCS)

Tools and Techniques: HURIDOCS develops standards in information handling, tools and techniques for monitoring and documentation of violations, including monitoring of economic, social and cultural rights. 

Training: HURIDOCS offers training and advisory services on the establishment/strengthening of human rights information systems, on software and technological developments. 

Outreach: through its network structure and mailing lists, HURIDOCS facilitates sharing of experience and knowledge.

HURIDOCS is a global capacity-building network of organisations that use documentation techniques, monitoring methods, information management systems and available technologies in the defence of human rights and the prevention of abuses.

HURIDOCS provides a unique, integrated package of tools (manuals and software), training, advice and support in a particular field, namely human rights information management and documentation.

Training on monitoring, fact-finding and documentation of human rights violations. Training on handling bibliographic information/ Series of training activities in Turkey, Mozambique. Training courses on documentation of violations in Western Balkan, Nepal, Liberia, Spanish- and Russian-speaking indigenous peoples organisations. Training course on managing a human rights library for librarians from Iraq.

Advice and support for the establishment and maintenance on databases for documenting human rights violations/ Somalia, Ecuador, Indonesia, Mozambique, Turkey
