In the wake of the Busan High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness, the panel will focus on:

  • Changes in the global context requiring urgent adaptations in how we address violence and nurture peace
  • Convergence in various policy communities towards strengthening resilient systems on the ground
  • Mobilizing constructive responses to tensions and stress factors, using mediation, disaster risk reduction, peacebuilding, and conflict prevention
  • Building multi-sectoral partnerships (locally and internationally) to implement Busan
  • Linking Busan with a new consensus on a post-2015 sustainable development framework (or life after the Millennium Development Goals)
  • The dangers of conflating peacebuilding and state-building goals in fragile states.
