Geneva Peace Calendar 2017

Events

The Geneva Peace Calendar has the objective to foster cooperation and build synergy through information sharing about work priorities, partnerships, and events. It brings together the responses from a survey entitled “Geneva Peace Calendar 2017” and invites organizations and missions to share their reflections about key priorities, partnerships, and events in 2017.

The Geneva Peace Calendar is piloted in 2016 with a survey across all international organizations, missions and non-governmental organizations, as well as with a public event scheduled during Geneva Peace Week on 7 November, 09.30-12.00 (Maison de la Paix).

The Geneva Peacebuilding Platform invites your organization or mission to participate in a survey and submit responses to the following three questions.

1. What are the priorities of your organization in 2017 to support, guide, or study

a. Peace processes or conflict prevention and peacebuilding efforts?

b. The implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, especially Goal 16 and peace-related goals and indicators?

2. In which areas of your work in 2017 are you looking for partnerships with other actors?

3. What are the major events on conflict prevention, peacebuilding and related efforts to strengthen peaceful and inclusive societies your organization is planning in Geneva in 2017?

Please submit your responses together with a max. 100 word description of your organization/mission.

Responses should be submitted in a Word document and limited to 1 page (500 Words). Please submit your response to Madeleine Evans, Communications and Event Manager, by Monday, 24 October 2016, COB to info@gpplatform.ch.
