The Platform works on a variety of projects and initiatives and responds to developments on evolving peacebuilding issues and practices. Our core activities revolve around three main themes:
Geneva Peace Week (GPW) is a leading annual forum in the international peacebuilding calendar through which organizations in Geneva and their international partners come together to share knowledge and practice on a diverse range of topics related to peace across contexts and disciplines.
The Platform is a convening space for researchers, practitioners, policymakers, experts, and different stakeholders to come together and exchange for the advancement of the field. It offers actors room to explore, innovate, and test out ideas in collaborations with others.
The Geneva Peacebuilding Platform serves as a knowledge hub, connecting peacebuilding actors, resources, and expertise in Geneva and worldwide. With a focus on community management, it fosters inter-institutional collaboration, promotes shared learning, and mainstreams peacebuilding topics across different sectors 1. Additionally, the Platform aims to strengthen networking and community building within the peacebuilding sector, emphasizing cross-cutting issues and innovative initiatives for sustainable peace.
