Throughout the week, discussions explored a broad array of peacebuilding topics. While daytime sessions gathered peacebuilding professionals and experts, evening events opened the conversation to a wider audience. Highlights included the 2025 Kofi Annan Geneva Peace Address, the PeaceTalks: Geneva Peace Week Edition, and the Screening for Peace, featuring the world premiere of the documentary “We Forgive but We Don’t Forget.”

Geneva Peace Week 2025 also stood out for its strong artistic dimension, showcasing a remarkable lineup of artists who explored peace through creative expression. Featured exhibitions and performances included “Asimetrìa”, “Echos of Reality”, “HE[R]EAL – Her Reality: Women Combatants' Journeys from War to Peace”, as well as theatre workshops on human rights and live performances during main events.

Since its 10th anniversary, GPW has placed a special emphasis on creating spaces for connection and dialogue among organizers and participants. This year, those networking opportunities were once again highly appreciated, fostering new collaborations and partnerships beyond the week itself.

Around 135 organizations took part in the 2025 edition. Fifty panels and workshops were selected through a competitive call for applications, which received 228 proposals, reflecting the growing interest and engagement of the global peacebuilding community. More than 200 speakers shared their insights, experience, and visions for peace throughout the week.

The success of this edition was made possible thanks to the dedication and support of GPW’s board members, consortium partners, Geneva Peacebuilding Platform staff, and temporary team members.

A full report of the 2025 edition will be published at the end of the year, stay tuned for more insights on how peace was truly put in action this year in Geneva.
