Diplomatic Liaison Officer

International affairs and humanitarian diplomacy professional with extensive experience in conflict-affected and politically sensitive environments, combining field operations, diplomatic engagement, negotiation, strategic analysis and advisory roles, Alicïa recently joined the Geneva Peacebuilding Platform as Diplomatic Liaison Officer to coordinate engagement, strengthen relationships, and facilitate dialogue between the Platform and key stakeholders during the Geneva Peace Forum.

Her career spans the Permanent Mission of Switzerland to the United Nations in Geneva, the International Committee of the Red Cross, UNICEF, UNESCO, WIPO, as well as the private sector. With extensive field experience across conflict-affected contexts in Syria, Iraq, Israel and the occupied territories, South Sudan and Geneva, she has worked at the intersection of operational realities and diplomatic engagement, interacting with government authorities, armed actors, diplomatic stakeholders, international organisations and civil society. She has led operations and multidisciplinary teams, facilitated sensitive negotiations and high-level engagement, and drawn on political and conflict analysis to support strategic decision-making, institutional representation and liaison.

She holds an MA in Global Diplomacy specializing on the Middle East and North Africa region from the School of Oriental and African Studies, an MSc in International Development & Humanitarian Emergencies from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BA in Politics from the School of Oriental and African Studies. She speaks French, English, Russian and Arabic
