As part of the Graduate Institute's Interdisciplinary Capstone project for second year Master's students, the GPP commissioned three students to produce a report on "Conceptions of Peace and Security in Contemporary Europe: Probing possibilities for peacebuilding in 2020 and beyond".

Capstone Projects are a unique pedagogical experience where small groups of graduate students work with partners from International Geneva to conduct research projects that respond to today’s global challenges. Projects are part of the master curricula and contribute to the students' overall grade. The way the initiative works is that Capstone partners propose a research challenge, some background and a set of initial research questions. Students are then invited to apply for projects based on these proposals. Projects kick-off in April and are completed by December.

In this case, the project was completed in December 2020. The students, Arthur Lusenti, Keshav Khanna and Zachary Alvardo worked with Dr. Claudia Seymour and Kathryn Gichini from the GPP. As part of the process, the students utilised the vast GPP network to conduct numerous interviews with senior level practitioners. The students produced an excellent report and a complimentary podcast which can be found below.
